| Job Purpose |
 |
| STATS Group, require a CNC Machinist to work as part of a small focused team in the manufacture of various sizes of pipework related components. CNC Machining experience is essential for this position and applicants should be able to machine various types of materials, from mild steel and aluminum to plastics. Ability to read and understand engineering drawings / specifications, etc. is a requirement for this role.

| Main Responsibilities |
 |
• To manufacture components to high quality standards set out by STATS (UK) Ltd & STATS's customers / clients
• To machine various sizes of ferrous, non ferrous and non metallic materials
• To operate various types of lathes
• Basic programming on machine controls (Fanuc; Hiedenhan, Siemens)
• To use inspection equipment
• To carry out the movement of, material / equipment within the shop area (manual, gantry crane, forklift)
• To work within STATS standards and company procedures at all times
• To ensure that all defect to material, components or equipment is reported to the Production Supervisor
• Ensure all relevant drawings, procedures and instructions are to the latest revisions, prior to work commencing
• Aid in the proposal and introduction of new machining techniques / machines to improve productivity or safety
• Contribute to, and support in-house training of apprentices
• To Liaise with Production Supervisor on any issues arising (material, deadlines, customer / project issues)
• Any other duties required by the Production Supervisor
• To maintain sufficient material & stock levels in the store
• To maintain material certification and traceability for all material used
• To ensure that all gauge / inspection equipment are correct and current prior to use
• To aid Project Engineers / Production Supervisor in the selection of tooling and capital equipment
• To support other departments as and when required |

• To comply with STATS Integrated Management System when carrying out project engineering tasks
• To comply with STATS and Client quality, safety and environmental management systems and procedures at all times
• Ensure all accidents / incidents / near misses / hazards are immediately reported to the QHSE Manager |

| Qualifications |
 |
• Apprenticeship in Engineering production (CNC Machining) or equivalent
• 5 years experience
|

| Experience / Competence / Skills / Knowledge |
 |
• Competent in the set-up and operation of CNC Milling machines and experience in CNC lathes would be advantageous
• Capable of basic programming on machine controls (Fanuc, Hiedenhan, Siemens)
• Ability to read & understand engineering drawings / specifications etc
• Ability to use inspection equipment
• Skill in planning methods of machining |
